Diploma in Telecommunication Engineering

Diploma in Electronics Telecommunication option.

Deals with all types of communication systems like line transmission, satellite communication, fiber optics, radar communication, radio and TV transmission and all communication devices

Entry Qualification:

FOR ALL THE DIPLOMA COURSES;

A mean grade of c- (c minus) at KCSE is mandatory

A craft certificate can join at module ii

Intake: JANUARY/MAY/SEPTEMBER:  3 YEARS MODULAR

EXAMINATIONS

ALL DIPLOMA STUDENTS ARE EXAMINED BY KNEC AFTER EVERY MODULE

MUST HAVE CLEARED TUITION FEES BEFORE REGISTRATION

MUST HAVE A 75% COLLEGE ATTENDANCE

COURSE WORK

For every module course work marks are sent to KNEC. These marks are from cats, assignments and end of term exams.

PROJECT WORK

Project is done at the end of the course (module iii). Every student writes a proposal that has to be approved by the project’s co-coordinator before they proceed.

INDUSTRIAL ATTACHMENT

Attachment is three months after second year for those who join in September and three months after third year for those who join in January and May

Curriculum.

K.I.E and D.I.T curriculum offered at various levels and include value addition subjects developed to cater for current technologies to ensure conformity to those industries.
