DIPLOMA IN INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL ENGINEERING

Deals with the control of machines or processes by use of electricity. The control may be realized by using electro-mechanical devices, simple electric circuits or by computers depending on the nature of the job.

Entry Qualification: A MEAN GRADE OF C- (C MINUS) AT KCSE IS MANDATORY/ A CRAFT CERTIFICATE CAN JOIN AT MODULE II

ALL DIPLOMA STUDENTS ARE EXAMINED BY KNEC AFTER EVERY MODULE

MUST HAVE CLEARED TUITION FEES BEFORE REGISTRATION

MUST HAVE A 75% COLLEGE ATTENDANCE

Curriculum

COURSE WORK

For every module course work marks are sent to knec. These marks are from cats, assignments and end of term exams.

K.I.E and D.I.T curriculum offered at various levels and include value addition subjects developed to cater for current technologies to ensure conformity to those industries.

Examining Bodies: KNEC for craft courses and D.I.T for all artisan courses

PROJECT WORK

Project is done at the end of the course (module iii). Every student writes a proposal that has to be approved by the project’s co-coordinator before they proceed.

Attachment is three months after second year for those who join in September and three months after third year for those who join in January and May
