Kenya Coast National Polytechnic (KCNP) is ISO 9001:2015 certified. As a Polytechnic, we pride ourselves for maintaining high standards in our service delivery especially to our key stakeholder; the student. The Polytechnic successfully transited from the 9001:2008 standard in January 2018.
Our Quality Management System (QMS) guides our day-to-day activities in discharge of our core mandate. The departments have well documented procedures under the custodian of the individual Heads (Process Owners). To ensure continual improvement, each Process Owner draws quality objectives annually that must be approved by the Chief Principal. The departments also have risk registers with clear mitigation plans. This is all geared towards quality service delivery as well as maintaining a safe environment for all our stakeholders.
KCNP has a Quality Policy in line with the ISO 9001:2015 standard and approved by the top Management. The Quality Policy demonstrates commitment by the top Management in ensuring provision of adequate resources for effective and efficient service delivery.
With a strong team of ten, well trained QMS Internal Auditors, KCNP conducts quality audits bi-annually. Customer satisfaction surveys are also carried out bi-annually by our Research and Innovations Office. We welcome customer feedback as we endeavour to continually improve in delivering quality service as we remain true to our vision: a leading centre of excellence in training.
