GUIDELINES FOR ADMITTING FOREIGN STUDENTS
Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) undertakes equation of qualifications awarded by foreign institutions and qualifications awarding bodies. Kenya Coast National Polytechnic (KCNP) therefore accepts any qualification that is recognized by KNQA
Any foreign student who wishes to have his/her academic certificate equated by KNQA should visit their website (http://www.knqa.go.ke/
Please note that KNQA charges a nominal fee for this service
The minimum entrance requirements are set out in the Kenya National Qualifications Framework (KNQF) Structure (http://www.knqa.go.ke/index.php/the-knqf-structure/)
Admission for programmes is done in January, May and September every year. Application forms for all programmes may be obtained from the website http://www.kenyacoastpoly.ac.ke/ or Registrar’s Office, Kenya Coast National Polytechnic, P.O. Box 81220-80100, Mombasa. Email: email@example.com.
Enquiries relating to specific programmes may also be made to the Heads of Departments (HOD)
Guidelines for Online Admission
The Polytechnic invites applications from qualified candidates wishing to pursue various programmes in Artisan, Certificate, or Diploma level (check our course brochure on the website). For online application and admission applicants may visit http://www.kenyacoastpoly.ac.ke/. Upon a successful online application applicants should submit the following mandatory documents to firstname.lastname@example.org for purposes of admission.

- Scanned copy of the application form. Attach passport size photo before scanning.
- Scanned copy of Equation Certificate from KNQA
- Scanned copy of a valid passport
- Scanned copy of bank slip for term 1 full fees payment

Once the admission process is complete you will be able to view your academic affairs and official notices from the Polytechnic in the students’ portal (http://portal.kenyacoastpoly.ac.ke/). You will be provided with a Registration Number to use as the ID to create an account for accessing the students’ portal interface. A list of all new students will be published on our website (http://www.kenyacoastpoly.ac.ke/)
