This is a modular course designed to fulfill the needs of the industry for trained personnel n secretarial field. The course is expected to provide the trainee with knowledge and attitude for proper and effective working in an office. The graduates of this course will be able to perform secretarial functions in a busy office effectively and efficiently.

Mean grade D plain and above in KCSE examination
KNEC is the external examining body. Internal examinations and Continuous Assessment Tests are also compulsory for each student.

Course work marks for a candidate will be submitted to KN EC. Student s are therefore, advised to take their internal examinations as equally important as the KNEC examinations.
Trainees will undertake a Trade Project under the direction of a Trade Project Tutor. The grades obtained by the candidates in Trade Project will form part of the Course Work Marks.
The candidate will be expected to proceed for industrial attachment as a requirement by KNEC for successful completion of the course.
